Infrastructure Engineering

Where Engineering Meets Elevation

There’s a trivia question we like to ask at almost every social gathering we attend. What do Sports Authority Field at Mile High, Incheon International Airport in Seoul Korea, the stadiums for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and the expansion of the Panama Canal all have in common?

The answer is simple – these iconic buildings and high-profile projects were all engineered by Colorado firms.

Fortune 500 CH2M and Fentress Architects are just two of the many multinational infrastructure engineering firms that are tapping into the more than 40,000 highly trained engineers who call Colorado home.

This technical and scientific-minded labor force is working on civil, commercial, and environmental projects all over the world, including water and solid waste systems; highways, streets and bridges; urban/commercial development; and infrastructure that delivers traditional and renewable energy.

Even as these trend-setting projects are being designed and built by brilliant minds, Colorado isn’t resting on its laurels. The state is home to a nationally-recognized university system that is training the next generation of engineers who are dreaming up structures that are sure to continue to capture the world’s attention.
